'''''Blue Öyster Cult''''' is the debut studio album by [[Blue Öyster Cult]]. It was released on January 16, 1972 by Columbia Records and, despite positive reception, failed to chart in the United States until May 12, peaking at No. 172 on the Billboard 200.

This album spawned two singles, "[[Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll]]" and its B-side, "[[Before the Kiss, a Redcap]]". It was reissued in 2001 with four bonus tracks, demos from the earlier Elektra sessions prior to the recording of what would later become ''[[St. Cecilia: The Elektra Recordings]]''.
