The Revölution by Night is the ninth studio album by Blue Öyster Cult. It was released in November 1983 by Columbia Records, peaking at No. 93 on the Billboard 200 on February 11, 1984. It is the first album to not feature the original band lineup, as Albert Bouchard was replaced by Rick Downey during the Fire of Unknown Origin tour.
This album spawned one single in the United States, "Shooting Shark" / "Dragon Lady", which peaked at No. 83 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 16 on the Mainstream Rock chart.
