Some Enchanted Evening is the second live album by Blue Öyster Cult. It was released in September 1978 by Columbia Records, peaking at No. 44 on the Billboard 200 and remaining on the chart for 12 weeks. It was certified Platinum by RIAA in 1988, having sold over 2 million copies worldwide, making it Blue Öyster Cult's best-selling album of all time.
This album spawned one single, "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" / "E.T.I. (Extra Terrestrial Intelligence)", which did not chart.
In 2007, Some Enchanted Evening was reissued with seven new bonus tracks from the same tour, as well as a DVD titled Some OTHER Enchanted Evening, which contains the band's full performance at the Capital Centre in Largo, Maryland on July 14, 1978.
