The Columbia Albums Collectiön is a compilation album box set by Blue Öyster Cult. It contains every album produced under their contract to Columbia Records (Blue Öyster Cult–Imaginos), as well as two compilation discs and a set of digital downloads. It was released on October 30, 2012 by the Legacy Recordings subsidiary of Sony Music.
Rarities is a compilation of demos, live performances, and pre-BÖC material that had yet to see an official release. Radios Appear: The Best of the Broadcasts is a compilation of several live performances from the height of their career.
Harvester of Lives is a four-concert set of digital downloads available via a one-use code to those who purchased the collection. The concerts, though incomplete, took place from 1980 to 1986 and total five hours of material.

The Columbia Albums Collectiön Sampler

Prior to the release of the box set, a promotional sampler CD was released containing selected tracks from throughout the compilation. It also featured a track not found in the final box set, a cover of The Who's "Substitute" performed at the Civic Center in Providence, RI in 1980.
