Spectres is the fifth studio album by Blue Öyster Cult. It was released in November, 1977 by Columbia Records, peaking at No. 43 on the Billboard 200 on December 3 and holding for two weeks. The album was certified Gold by RIAA in 1978.
This album spawned two singles, "Goin' Through the Motions" / "Searchin' for Celine" and "Godzilla" / "Nosferatu", neither of which charted. Despite this, Godzilla remains a concert staple and is one of their most popular songs.
