Lyrics[edit | edit source]
Holy sleep took her
Between Rome and Padua
She awoke to say
"I can hear whistles
That fill the air"
Little St. Cecilia
The patron saint of music
Good sisters couldn't tell
The color of her hair
It surprised her mother
But the Pope was ready
To forestall the Devil
He names little St. Cecilia
The patron saint of music
